hey i am thinking about buying a rev box but I have a few questions first. The best place I've found is http://www.magicracing.com/myProducts.cfm?CFID=682841&CFTOKEN=3398396&CategoryID=286 for only 90 bucks and it raises the limit 1500 rpms. is this the best one, for the best price? what does installation require? will I need anything else? well it need to be re-jetted? any useful info appreciated, thanx

I'm pretty sure it's a plug and play deal but I could be wrong.

The rev box is just plug and play. It's the little black box on the front of your bike. I found that my bike almost double on the gears and i have a 1500 RPM. As for rejetting no you don't have too. It should run great with just plugging in the box.

i thought they were based off of the xr 400, but i don't know. some say that they also change the spark curves of the bike. big gun claims that theirs makes a full two horsepower over stock and they showed theirs compared to the white brothers on a dyno and it made more power. however, with big gun making the dyno, of course its going to make more power. i don't know what bikes they were put on though.

all boxes are based off of the xr 400 box yes. but companies modify the internals on them so they get what they want and so each box is a little different.

do ya'll think it will ever cause problems? the rev limiter was obviously there for a reason so will it cause problems bumping it up that much?
