I recently purchased a 1988 stock 250r and looking for a spare motor. Let me know what you got and how much, I prefer a stock spec engine with carb ready to run. Will talk price on anything.

86 r motor, intake, stock carb with new cable, new factory reed cage & reeds, reed spacer, kick starter, exhaust flange, top end and clutch done last summer (has great compression, top case saver bolt hole broken, ran - shifted great last time out which was last summer, this has been a spare motor for me but has had little use. $600 + shipping

I have an almost new motor off my 87 250r. It has less than 15 hours on the motor, shaved heads, V-Force reeds and reed spacers, Trixx Performance stator cover, Trixx case saver, complete with stator and flywheel, kickstarter, shifter, carburetor. Motor runs great, very strong. Shifts perfectly. I bought this recently off a guy that owned a quad shop and built high performance 250rs. Since its so new, I'm asking $1250 for the motor. I'm selling the chassis separately if you know anyone that is looking for one. Thanks.

since no one has a cheap motor in my price range(z400 if yours didnt have that crack in it id scoop that up) does anyone have a box of major engine parts for sale to get me a good start?

i wasnt thinking of how that sounded. if the casesaver bolthole was not messed up, i would take it.
