I like the 400 alot but its way to underpowered and I don't really wanna have to tear the motor down and do anything to it.
I'm paying for the yfz myself too :D

how is the 400ex out dated? the motor??? Yeah and thats about it. Power isn't everything you know you could have a 60hp race 250r or something and a guy on a stock 400 could beat you its the rider :rolleyes:

Its really hard to beat someone if your on an mx track and you don't got enough power to clear the jumps.....
Thats my problem right now...

why dont you just wait for the crf450, I guarantee you its gunna be better than the yfz450. I dont blame ya for sellingt he 400ex though, I am getting sick of my too. So I am getting an R, then after a few years I will get the CRF450 when the used prices drop a bit. I heard the 400ex parts will fit on the crf450, so that means most of the R parts will fit :blah:

i doubt ill every buy another quad im just gonna keep modding my 400ex out and eventually buy a crf bike...



does anyone know if they fixed the problem of the wr motor sheering the flywheel key...they tapered em wrong..

I'm not waiting for the honda.
The nearest honda dealer to me is near 40 mins away. When theres a yamaha dealer 10 minutes away that has better service and prices.

well good luck..... I dont know what quad Im gonna end up on next... who knows..I keep gettin everyone elses rides these days.... Ive been a big Loaner Racer lately.. it would be nice to race on my own quad...... :ermm:
So far I dont really see any stock quad Id love to have right now.. Id have to either build my own (with what money??) or buy a used one (might as well keep truckin with mine since it would be the same story with any other used quad)

Well I will always kep my r, i have it al planned out, when i brake my frame or need a different one I will get a CRF fame, then i think i would be ready for a change, but I could still just put all my shocks and a-arms on.


But I think the new YZF is better than a 400ex, but Id NEVER sell my r for it... jmo:ermm:
