Does anybody know the differences between the 250X carbs and 350x carbs? Which one would I want to use if I do the 250X-350X conversion?

if the 250x carb is the same as the 300ex, it will rather be a 28 or a 32, i believe year 2000 down 300's uses 28's, after that a 32

I believe the stock 350x carb is only 32mm.

actually the 350x is a 31mm..i know that sounds a little odd but im pretty sure it is...i guess if i was doin the conversion i would get a newer 32mm 300ex carb and use it

You're right, thumper. I did some info research and they are 31mm. I'm not for sure why they put a smaller carb on the 350x. I ran a 400ex carb on mine and it performed very well.

Where did you get your information from? I'm not saying it's wrong, but I got some contradictory information.

From Powroll:
"In regards to the carbs. The 250X and the 350X both run a 29mm carb, but the 250X carb is a much more advanced design and gives much better power. The kit includes instructions on how to make everything work together to make the most power possible."

Here is where I got my info. This was scanned directly from the 350x repair manual and it is the same for both the '85 and the '86. You might have to zoom in on the scan to read it a little better.

Your best bet would be to buy a 400ex carb, and sell the other ones. I found mine on ebay for $40 plus shipping. and it made a big defferacne once I jetted it right.

Yeah, if I can find one for dirt cheap I'll do it. Otherwise, this is just my secondary bike. If I'm going to dump serious money into upgrades, it will be into my 250r...
