I took my cylinder off the other day and noticed it didnt have this o-ring ( #9) Does it really matter? I have a 440 kit, will the stock one fit?

i really don't thing it really serves to much of a purpose but then again i don't think honda would have put it there unless it needed it

The 440 kit does not use the o-ring !!

No room for an o-ring!

You can still use the stk oring if you like. It will stretch to fit.

Depending on the sleeve used and how the cylinder was bored for it and the actuall clearances to the cases it may just rip or flatten out any how but cant see no harm in using it or not.

Currently mine doesnt have one.

Is the outside of the 440 sleeve larger the the sotck one? I used a o-ring with my 416 bore.

on the stock sleve there is a little valley just out side of it, that is where the o-ring sets. here is my theory: if you have to machine the part with the fins a little bigger to fit the 440 sleve, that valley will be a little smaller and wont accomidate the o-ring correctly causing it to get pinched in one part maybe cocking the cylinder a very very slight bit. i dont think mine had one when i took it apart but im putting one back on when it goes back together...
