My 300EX is starting to smoke when I start it. Its getting worse. I can only assume it needs a set of rings.
I put a wiseco std bore piston and rings in it last year.
Assuming I dont need a bore and my piston is still ok, what rings do I buy for it?
Do stock rings work? or do I have to get wiseco rings or something?
I dunno if thats a dumb question or not, but I dont wanna be puttin the wrong rings in!
Thanx!

ok, I guess I asked wrong.....
I already have a Wiseco piston, wich was put in last year.....
Now, it needs new rings.....
I need to install a new set of rings in with the existing piston.
The piston is a Std bore Wiseco High compression....
I need to know what rings to buy to go with this piston..... I was asking if stock rings will work with this piston, or if I need to buy special rings from Wiseco

you will need wiseco rings to fit a wiseco piston. most of the time the wiseco rings are thicker than stock rings so they will NOT interchange.:ermm:

Call Wiseco directly, they'll sell you a set of rings for pretty cheap. Just tell them what piston you have.

The part # for the replacement rings are 2913xc, that is for the standard bore.. any dealer that sells wiseco should be able to get them for you if not give me a call and I will get you some rings.
