what are nerf bars for and what do they mount to do you have to drill

nerf bars are your protection for racing...if some1 bumps into you on the side it will hurt. so this is used for protection and so your foot wont get under the tire if they happen to slip. not sure but you can but some bolt ons

you must have a set when racing for protection from other atvs...if someone gets sidways and there tire getins by your foot peg..your screwed...but i would have a set anyway even if it wastn required for racing..they ahve saved my fot many times..if i was you and looking into a set..get x-factor...stainless steel pro pegs...well worth the extra 85 bucks compared to AC pro pegs

My friend got his foot stuck under the rear tire because of no nerf bars so get them and we were just trail riding :o

why stainless steel not aluminum? Stainless weighs more:huh

Nerf bars are the best investment I ever made in my quad, and I gaurantee most everyone that has em will agree wit that:cool: They bolt rigth up to a 300 most of the time, go wit AC for sure though;)

My Hubby just put some on my quad last night.. THANK GOD!!!

I almost lost my ankles TWICE last weekend.

I'm a newer rider and that was my biggest fear after last weekend (foot-slip-stuck-tire-ouch) so the first thing we thought about after getting back from riding was what could be done to save the ankles/foot/shin" . Had already ordered boots but got right on the telly for the nerf bars - AC ....

Highly recommend!!

ya i have only had my pro pegs on for like a month and i cant count atleast 10+ time that i would have gotten seriously hurt without them

Stainless weighs more:huh :rolleyes: the peg part...the X-Factor nerfs are aluminum..but the foot peg is made of stainless steel...they will outlast pro pegs....my peg are just about flat..and there less than a year old..i would say about 6-7 months...for the extra .5 lbs and 85 mroe bucks..is well worth it
