pro design kill sw

can anyone tell me how to wire in a pro design kill switch on a 300ex. the way i have it now it is working backwards. i tried switching the wires and its doing the same thing.

1 wire goes to the ground and the other one splices in line of the positive wire to the ignition coil.

do you have your stock killswitch? i just followed the wires from my old kill switch on the handelbars, took all that off, followed it to the harness, and hooked the posative there, and the other grounded.
