CR Kill switch for start button

If anyone of you desides to use a CR style kill switch for your start button you need to wrap electrical tape around the handle bar first. This type of button grounds itself to the bars. It turned my steel braided brake line cherry hot . before i figured that out. LOL

so you guys are saying that you can use a Honda CR dirtbike killswitch as a start button on your 400ex? im sure with the correct wiring this will work on other quads, b.c i own a 300ex. How do you guys do this? i am very curious, b.c i removed my headlight/taillight. Now i am interested in removing most of the unnecessary electrics(lights on/off ; high/low beams; and the kill switch) please give a detailed description. thanks guys

i use a kx style kill switch for my start button i like it because it comes with external wires and its very simple to hook up

C&D carrys a button that i believe is a connondale stlye, i would tell you how it is but its been over a month and still never got it from C&D...kinda dissapointed in there service :ermm: for other reasons as well :(

I have six of the buttons I am just waiting on Colby to do what ever he has to (I can't remember what he said) and I can get it shipped.

The CR button will work but the Cannondale one is better do to the way it grounds!

well if you get rid of the headlights all of the switches end up being useless

I use a YZ250 killswitch for my starter button and I havent had any trouble with it yet.

I broke mine, and have been using a Honda CR dirtbike killswitch as a start button on my 400ex for 4 months, and have had no problems. Just rember to clean the contacts after a muddy ride.
