Stock head pipe stainless on '02?

I friend told me that he heard that the '02 factory head pipes on the 400 were stainless steel. Is this correct? I know that I could Jet Coat my stockers and all that but am curious if this is true.

If I remember correctly, all years where stainless. If not, there is no change for 2002.

Whole motor is stainless? I don't think so, more like aluminum. Yes the head pipe is stainless. Painting it is a waste. If you don't like the dirty looks of if polish it with scotch brite and wd-40. I've only done this when pipe was off. Once its done looks beter than new

YES THE MOTOR IS ALUMINUM, YES THE HEAD PIPES ARE STAINLESS, YES JET HOT COATING THE HEADPIPES WOULD DO SOME GOOD. FOR ONE THING IT WILL LESSEN THE RADIATED HEAT TO YOUR OIL TANK AND SEND MORE HEAT OUT THE SILINCER. I "CERAMICHROMED" MY HEADPIPE, THE RADIATED HEADPIPE HEAT IS LESS, AND THE PIPE WILL NOT TURN THE UGLY BROWN. IT IS UP TO YOU. PERSONALLY I LIKE THE BUFFED ALUMINUM LOOK OF THE PIPE NOW.
