440 the best for the dunes?

I only ride at the dunes and was wondering if the 440 bore was the best compared to the other sizes. I'm also putting in a new cam and getting some head work done.

Go with a 416 or a 426. 440's have a lot of power but the other 2 do really good. I'd say do the 416 then when that wears out do the 426. I have the 426 in mine and it is very impressive.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 426 now after reading my other post. Plus it's a little bit cheaper anyway since I won't have to have the motor re-sleeved. Did you get hard faced rockers, new valve springs, or valve guides when you put in your cam? The guy that's going to do my bore job keeps telling me that I should get hardfaced rockers even with a hotcam???

If you want banshee killing power go for the 440. The other setups are an improvement too. I just got to try my 440 for the first time in the sand last saturday. Took it to comp hill at florence and killed a ton of shees. Getting it to stand up in 5th with a +4 swingarm looks badass too:cool:

I have also beat many piped shee's with my EX. I would go with the full out 440 kit for the dune's. Carlj75 if you would like to give mi EX a test ride some day we could meet some were so you can ride the 440.:cool:

Twisted: thanks for the offer. I rode some guys 440 at Florence a couple of weeks ago at comp hill. All he had done was the 440 kit and some head work......no cam or carb!! I usually can't beat my buddies piped craptor on mine, but on that 440 I was beating him by a couple quad lengths. It felt really strong and was easilly pulling 4th gear up the hill. (Mine barley pulls 3rd right now) I would like to do the full out 440, but I think I will just do the JE 11:1 426 and a stage 2 Hotcam.

Dude, I hope you know that I was jokeing. The only shee that I knew exactly what had on it was my grandpa's shee whith my brother on it. It has power pistons, TR6's, v-force cages, clamp on K&N's, degree key, and spacers with a 4 1/2 inch over swingarm. I could beat that bike with my brother on it by over a bike length up comp hill. My next ride will be 30th-1st. I will have pics of my thumper beating ring dings after that ride;) I ran a lot of bikes on my first trip, most of them modded shees and only lost twice, and no they were not stock:rolleyes: The shee is still the bike to beat on the hill though:scary:

Go with the 440 for the sand. I race shees and raptors all day long and win. I just put a fcr 39mm carb on my 440ex and my buddy cant touch me anymore on his piped raptor. We raced last friday at glamis and he had paddles on and i had the stock tires and i still won every race.

heh....I have never had a failure of any type in my motor. And I can guarantee you it would drag your dale upside down faster than it would go on its own power...:ermm:

BTW, in case you dont bilieve i do know how to start my dale, ill tell you......you have to push the start button for one second, this pressurizes the fuel pump and starter, next you hold the starter button for no more than 3 seconds, if it doesnt start, than repeat this process...and ohh yeah, you must have the clutch pulled in while you do all this, see, im not a reetard, jeesh, are all people jerks???:confused: :grr:
