Anti-exhaust Thread

Yesturday I decided I didn't like the WB E-series can and I was Tired of the damn filter getting messed up bad from having the top cut up

SOoo I Put on the Stock Exhaust and bought a New LID for the box

Cleaned the UNI , make a nice foam gasket for the lid and Did the jetting on the carb

Today I checked a few things and went for a short rip

I FEEL NO DIFFERENCE

NONE

NADA

Don't get me wrong, I had it all correct and it ran Great with the mods ....besides the fact it was LOUD as heII

I am gonna leave it like this and Go stealth

My girlfriend just switched her q-series out for the stock pipe and GAINED power.

And yes, the jetting was correct.

I notice a big diff in stock vs yoshi.. but it is a 300ex though..

I've got nothing against WB, but I certainly wasn't suprised that the Q-series turned out to be junk. Now she has her heart set on a full Yoshi pipe and muffler. (She thinks it's magic, and it will make her 400EX beat my R :o )

Well I've noticed the opposite difference. My real world testing was riding up a good sized hill climb (power line)....I would be able to grab 2nd gear and wind it out no problem with my power core 4. I put my stock back on just to try it (returned original jetting) and it would bog out in 2nd gear.....took a jump to get it wound up.

I am in no way saying the stock pipe Flows well ...just saying that The e-series didn't flow BETTER ;)

And I really like how quiet the stocker is

Does any Aftermarket pipe even come close?

I have been having thoughts of putting my stock pipe/muffler back on. I think I would rather loose .5 HP and 20db. It would be nice to not worry about pissing people off when riding. When I find all the bolts for the sparker I am going to take off my full system.
