I desided to get a yz 125, dont worry i wont sell the 400ex. I am going to go buy this bike tomorrow so I have all night to make last minute changes. Should I get the yz 125 or is there something else I should look at.

What is the top price I should pay for a 03 yz 125 in arizona. The shop wants 6700 out the door and I think they are crazy. What should I be looking to get it out of their for. Most of the other places around me are out of the yz 125 though :(

I know this will smoke my 400ex but whats the top speed on it?

YZ's are fast no comparison to a quad. It would be like a Katana 600 to a GSX-R 600 see what I mean....

Get a ktm 125 they are faster and nicer i think and on the site suggested retail is 1 dollar less than the cr yz or kx125's

what can u do with just a dollar anyway?

well u can make a collect call with 10-10-220 anywhere for 20 mins. and then just 10 cents a minute after that

Call around to neighboring states it may be worth a little drive. Also I have a YZ125 and it is a great bike but for $6700 I would buy a YZ250F my little brother has one and he is 5'11' and about 130lbs he throws that thing around like nothin and he races with the 125 class. If you get a 125 that would be cool but you are gonna kick yourself in the @$$ if you ride a YZ250F you would have wished you bought that instead. It is the most comfortable bike I have ever been on and it's hauls ***** too. Good Luck

the retail for a yz 125 is 5 grand. ...the retrail for a yzf 250 is 5,700$. You if get one for 6700, it better be a yzf 450, with some mods:D

jello- please tell me your kidding. You paid $5500 for an 03' at the end of the year when they are starting to get ansy and needing to make room for the 04's.

You shouldnt have even come close to that price. You should have shopped around and maybe even waited a month. I bet you could have gotten it for around $4000-4200.

Let me guess.... did you buy it from one of the motorsports dealerships?

Here is what you could have got..

-KX125 $4200 OTD from valley kawasaki
-KTM 125sx $4600 OTD in Phoenix
-Cr125 $4400 OTD in Tucson

Someone even told me at Dirt rider.net that a dealership in another state is making room for 03's and selling yz125's otd for $3700. I would imagine that all dealerships get them for around the same price so this could eaily been in Phoenix.

I just bought one from a local dealer in indiana, I payed 4,000 out the door. I used by mom's out of state address so I won't have to pay sales tax.

I bought my 03 YZ250F about 3 months ago and it was about $5700 OTD.

Right now w/ all the 04's coming in, you could get a 03 for VERY cheap.

The 250F has more HP than any other 125 class bike and if you know how to ride a 4-stroke and can handle one, the 250F would be the better bike. I have so many people at the track that say they would rather have my 250F over their 125. One of my friends keeps on trying to give me his KX 125 w/ mods and $1000 for my YZF, cause he loves my bike so much more. I wouldnt' get an 01 or 02 250F though cause they didn't have the auto decompression. The 03's do so it's a whole lot easier.
