Yeah it's not really something you can do in your garage..magic racing can do it I think,,I had mine done at Rocky Ridge Racing,,but I think he skipped town.

What are the advantages and the disadvanages?
Thanks

I am not familiar with the advantages/disadvantages but Tom Miller Motorsports in west Tennessee does it. He bored my cylinder and did a valve job. Very happy with his work and turnaround time.

It will give you better accelaration and don't try to do it your self take it someone who knows how to do it.

There is only one downside to lightening a flywheel. You will lose some of your torque. The extra weight on the flywheel creates torque, if you remove the weight you will be able to rev out faster but if you are the type of rider that likes to climb steep hills it could hinder the torque you need to get to the top.

You will never tell you lost it though Its a four stoke that means tons of torque. I would not worry about it you will never be able to tell.

I was told by someone that lightening the flywheel is not a good idea. He said that the slightest off balance will cause vibration. What do you guys think??

I could see it causing a problem if it was off balance but if it's shaved correctly by someone that knows what there doin,,then it should be balanced correctly,,I've not noticed any problems with mine and I've been running it for over a year now.

I've been planning on doing mine along with a timing key, but I do LOTS of hill climbs and duning (Glamis). Should I reconsider or is the torque issue picking fly***** off the wall?

You will never nottice the torque lose. Its not that big of deal. I say get it done and the only differance you will be able to tell is the quicker accelaration.
