which one should I get I need to get one fast!

If those are the only ones you are looking at then I would say if you are a bigger guy get the DS otherwise get teh Predator my buddy rides one and they are bad ***. The Pred. is what my EX will go to if Honda doesn't come out with anything.

yfz is 7000 and thats a bit too much.... i have had a blaster and mojave got rid of both b/c i am moving on up to the next level

i am leaning to the 400EX cause of it's good price but the KFX400 is looking good too!and i dont like suzuki so the Z is out......considering the DS and Pred i dunno i cant make my mind up

Isnt the Suzuki 400 and the Kawasaki 400 the same thing? So why dont you like Suzuki, that would also mean you dont like the Kawasaki, unless you are just referring to their colors? :confused:

Anyways, I say that you go with the Predator. ;)

well if you dont like Suzuki you better cross the Kawi off your list because it is the exact same quad as the Zuki. That would actually be your best bet for what you are looking to do. The EX is good to but if you have the option to go water-cooled that is prolly the better route. DO NOT buy a predator or a DS if you are thinking of going any where near a MX track. They are way too heavy and will not be much fun at all on a MX track. Plus the aftermarket for both of those quads is pretty much a niche market at best

I rode a KFX for the first time this weekend WOW..I think thats my first choice now. I didnt get to jump it handles very well and has gobs of power compared to my quad. But what doesnt haha

well...a z400 crumpled in a crash with a blaster..the blaster came out fine...cept a bent bumper..and 400ex's are much much beter than a z400...so im guessing 400ex will be your best bet

What are you talking about Preds cant MX, have you ever seen one? In my very FIRST race i beat two custom yz426 quads...a VERY modded 250r and another pred into the first corner....the only quads who beat me were a CRF quad and a VERY modded shee. They arent to heavy for Mx and have awesome power, great handling and great suspension. For what your looking to do, I would say get a Pred. The pred does have an aftermarket too, they only came out a few months ago and they already have some sweet stuff for them!


BTW, Suzuki makes the KFX's.....it even says Suzuki on the sidecases lol

The smart thing to do would be to buy a modded used 400EX in good shape. There are such killer deals out there right now...

Get the Pred. Whoever said it is too heavy for MX has never ridden one and should before they say something like that. This quad flies better than any quad i've ever ridden. It's not heavy at all when you ride it. Also about it being top heavy, that guy must be on crack. You can barely get this thing to 2 wheel. A raptor is top heavy, a predator is not even close. It is wider than any stock quad out right now and rides like a dream with all of it's suspension travel. Right now it's the best quad out for the money. And oh yeah, the predator is faster than all the other quads in your riding group so even without mods they'll be following you.

Ok, I am going to tell you about the predator, I have ridden one for about 30 minutes on a track, they have NICE POWER!!! But I cannot get used to them when I am in the air, the go all squirlley. Also the one I rode has the rezzies on the front, and the rear has a french company called Stadium ( Plante used to run them) and ways the suspension is WAY TOO SOFT, it is valved for 210, and I only way 160, I was bottoming it out off of a 40 ft double. It does handle nice in the braking bumps. But for reliability I can say, knowing all other polaris's it wont be very good. I would say either a Pred, or a modded out 400ex, that will OUT HANDLE a pred and that will have a big bore so it has the same amount of power.

im sorry, but after reading some of these posts,...im just gettin pissed off.....alot of you biatch and complain about honda not coming out with anything to keep up with the competition and now that another company goes WAY out on edge, you wont give them credit.....this is polaris's first true sport quad and its somethin serious, i have not raced one fairly stock quad that compares to my pred...piped shees, piped raptors,..even my 440 ex....some of you are VERY intellegent, but some are flat out ...well lets say cant make sense...i.e..,,,,.."OH lets pay $300 less for a air cooled quad with ok suspension and put $900 of motor mods and let it sit in the shop getting put together" verses buying something from the factory that hauls asssss and has excellent suspension and phenomonal handeling........(PREDATOR)...........

peace [/B] i heard the frames crack above the shokc mount and on the front of the a-arm mount...like teh z400..so i would definatly wait to see what goes on with those(yfz450)
