I too am seriously thinking of getting one. I'm talking with haydug right now. The only problem I have is that I have never rode one or seen one in action. How is the power on them? Up here it is mostly mild modded, small bore banshees and 440exs. Will a dale beat them? I know it's an immature question, but sometimes I feel like kicking some @$$ and my 400 won't do it. I would put my elkas on it so it would have aftermarket suspension. I do a lot of trail riding and some MX, maybe a little cross country next year. Pappy, and all other cdale riders, give me some info because I'm kinda in the dark. Also, what are the differences between a speed and cannibal besides mapping and graphics?

You are pretty much going to beat anything that you line up against except only the highly modified quads (or another Cannondale ofcoarse) The shocks are the main difference between the Cannibal and Speed on the 03's. Some lucky early 03 Cannibal owners got the Ohlins too.
The only quads I can't pass in the fast stuff is other Cannondales. I was behind 465Stroker (Rick Cecco) on the fast ski slopes at The Wisp and I couldn't pull 1 inch on him. He has a Cannibal with a Moto/Speed map and I have the Blaze map. We are both running HMF pipes.

if you say so, check out http://www.dunereview.com and looks at their movies from saint anthony's dunes. There's vids of a couple dales going up Choke Cherry hill, and also some of a couple yfz's going up it. The yfz's are stock save for pulling the baffle, airbox lid, and rejetting, and they CATCH AIR off the top of choke cherry. The dales are lucky to get to the top.

Oh well, still doesn't suprise me that on a honda site yamaha can't get any credit.

Oh and fyi, the yfz holeshotted both motos. And rudy is a damn good rider, in his first race back in over 6 months he got second out of 28 pros, so i think he knows what he's talking about.

I don't know if you should trade the new EX, but I would get a dale if I had the chance and the coin! They are a sweet quad, and you never know if they will come back (in the fact of its a good investment) But its totaly up to you Paps, just don't go getting kicked out of the house :p

Nope, not even close. I would consider the 425 to be damn near new. Every part is new on it..including one heck of a motor. He'd be losing out if he did an even trade.
