im trying to jet for my T-4 slip-on and my friend has the dynojet stage 1+2 kit. he has from 145-165 or 170 (in increments of 5). well someone told me i needed a 160 for my T-4, K&N, and airbox lid removed. i looked on the following website and does a 170 dynojet sound like what i should be putting in? i think ill go with a 42pilot also.

On my 400 I run a 155dj main with a 42pilot
I have the t-4 full system , K-N, no air box lid, no choke this set up works great!
Butt I have notice she will not run near as good with the air box lid. way rich!

I have the same mods and am using the dynojet stage 2 kit. Use the 170 jet and follow the instructions and it will run good.

170 Dynojet is way too rich for a slip-on. Try a 160 (possibly 155) and a #40 piolt. I had a 170 MJ with my full pipe and was too rich, I backed it down to 160.

ok, so this webpage isnt right or what? i need a 160 mikuni, it says that would be a 170 dynojet. im confused here. take a look at the site and try to explain just a little. thanks for the help so far.

Frist off I know jetting can be confusing. But If your working on a 400ex please forget about the mikuni stuff. The carb on a ex is a kenith. Second IF your mods are exactly what you say use a 155dyno jet jet.
my two cents on jetting
155 kenith main = 150 dyno jet main.
