Right now i am in the process of making my 300ex as bad as it can be. I have 400ex plastic already put on but i need to know what is involved in putting the 400ex motor into a 300ex. Someone please tell me everything that i have to consider. any suggestions from motor mount mods to carburator stuff would be greatly appreciated. Some of you may say why not just by a 400ex. Well i am only 16 years old and my job does not pay very well. i also already have alot of $ invested in my suspension i just need more power now. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If your buying everything, really notto be mean or anything, but you should really just buy an EX, unless you have tons of money tied up in the 300. Or look at some bigbore kits from FST, make them a lot quicker.JMO. Good luck.

Yes i do have the lights installed also. they both work. it actually does look just like a 400 except it is a little bit shorter and not as wide. the way to make ur 250x fit with 400 plastic is simple also. the back plastic pretty mounts right up but you have to make some custom brackets and weld them to your frame to make the front mount up correctly. you also have to modify ur gas tank. it was pretty easy actually just took some thinking.lol ill get a pic up as soon as i can.

i dont see any point in putting a 400ex in a 300ex..... 400ex are lighter than 300ex's............

Maybe he likes the 300ex chasis and ergos, The 300 is a lot smaller feeling even though it weighs 5lbs heavier.

Spend the money on the 300,the motor can be built to run with a 400 as a matter of fact you can make it bad enough to beat most lightly modded 400's

yeah the 300 motor can be built to run with the 400's..look into the profab 330 kit..its fast...but putting the 400ex motor in the 300 frame is a good idea..i like 300 frames better because they're square..and also they have no subframe..look into a 350x motor too..thats what i bought..im about to put it in..so i'll tell ya how it went when im done
