I was looking at some of the polishing threads and can you polish the swingarm ?

its on a 400 buy the way.

yeah, takes a lot of sanding, but it can be polished.

Yep it can be done takes some time and a lot of sanding lots of casting marks.. :ermm:

couldnt you just strip it and polish it so its all polished but still ahs those marks?

You could do that, but why bother... It would just look silly and take to much time for nothing. The casting marks will make the polish look weird ?? You could try... but I wouldnt.

Yes its aluminum, it can defanitly be done, the sides are really easy to do becuse when i painted my swing arm I polished the sides, and then i was going to make the bottom and the top black, but when i taped it off, I was in a hurry and paint ran under my tape so i got mad and just painted it all black. But yah the top is kinda ruff, your gonna have to sand like forever to get it smooth. Good luck and post pics if you do it.:o

Wouldn't this weaken the swingarm?....Your talking about ALOT of sanding :confused:

Listen to silverfox she acts like she was the one that spent countless hours sanding that swingarm. I must admit they look good when do :D
