Will shocks set up for only +2 arms work on +2+1 arms?

The used shocks that I am buying are set up for +2 arms but I am planning on buying +2+1 arms, will it make any difference or will have I have to get the shocks reworked for the +1 forward?

They should work just fine, the +1" forward makes no difference on the shock. As long as you're the same width it will have the same leverage on the shock wether it's +1".0", or -1"
