2 out of 4 of my valve covers wont come off. I dont think i even overtightened the sumbiches last time. I'm using a 24mm opened end wrench, must be 15 inches long 2. One of the stuck ones, the corners rounded off:mad: . I have te wrech on perfect and then another on, one whole corner just crumbles off. wtf do i do, i might have to take vise grip and cheater bar to them :ermm:

take a screw driver or chisel, tap with a hammer(the blue line) in the loosening direction(the red) and if need be you can cut a little notch where the green line is so it doesnt slip. acts like a impact wrench sort of.

there is 2 minutes between your last two posts. we do this quite a bit here at work on stripped phillips head screws, some times work at it for more that 5-10 minutes. a little time and perserverience will get them loose. i dont think a six sided socket that big will be cheep, but that will get it if its gonna come out.

They are trashed anyway so take a sharp chiesel and cut them out with out messing up the threads and when you put the new one's on finger tighten them tell the o-ring touches them put less than an 1/8 of a turn to them just so they won't back out of there
