I don't have a 440 but this is what i have heard is the best way to go for a head gasket for the 440.

Call sparks racing 661 872-4343 and get a gasket that is machined / bored for the 440 jug. XR's only may also carry the same gasket. I hope that helps.

Do a search and you will find a whole lot more info

Good luck

If you realy look you will see tat the reason that you are blowning the gasket is because the head bolts are stretching. I found this out the hard way just like you have when you put the big bore kit in. The stock studs will only work good with the stock bore. This was a bad design by Honda by having the studs go only into the cyclinder not the case. when the engine gets hot they will pull in the cyclind and the studs will stregth. This is what I have been told by 2 of the major engine builders. the fix is to get the large stud kit from TC Racing or from some place else for about $100 and it will fix the problem. It did for me.

My buddy's 440 also went through head gaskets until he sent the jug to SPARKS for their $25.00 stud fix. Been perfect ever since.
