i know what the zero preload and triple rates mean. but i want to know what the PEP limited mass and emulsion(sp?) type shocks are.

Don't know about the limited mass, I would guess it is just a sales term, like a brand name.
Emulsion shocks don't have resevoirs, so the nitrogen gas is mixed with the oil.
Shocks with resevoirs keep oil and nitrogen seperate.

The Limited Mass shocks, short for "Limited Mechanical Active Suspension System"

Triple rate is when the shock has 3 different springs, with each spring having a different spring rate, like pounds or soething. I though limited mass was just another nae for no preload, which makes the suspension have more sag.
