how hard is it to put 400ex fenders on a 300ex and or will it work

i wanted to know if u knew how to get 400ex fenders on a 300ex beacause ive seen it but dont know how to do it so if u can give me some instructions that would help a lot thank u for ur time. and how hard is it?
