I just took some disc out of my E series thinking it would make more torque but I did not notice any difference? Has anyone else here ran 6 disks and noticed a different feel to the bike? Just wondering if it is normal to notice a difference. thanks.

IVE TRIED 4,6, I FELT WITH 6 IT PULLED HARDER ON THE TOP BUT LOST TORK. BUT IT IS SO HARD TO TELL. WHAT JETTING ARE YOU RUNNING? I STARTED WITH 155 12 DISC , MY BUDDY HAS A STOCK 400 AND BEAT ME BAD! BUT WHEN YOU RIDE MINE IT SEEMS FASTER. SO NOW I JUST PUT IN A 165 AND PUT MY 15TH SPROCKET BACK ON , HAVE NOT RODE IT YET.

I dont run the spark arrestor on mine (blank disk) its alot louder but I noticed alot of power gains doing this. If anyone wants to see a pic I got one.

Yes, it feels as if I am going faster but it also feels as if the stock pipe had more torque. It was definately easier to wheely. I took all my disk out, tried 4,6,8,10 but 12 and no disk seemed to have the most power. I have a 14t sprocket in the box thats just been waiting to be installed so I am gonna put it on and test it out them. I think I have a 160 main, not sure cuz the shop I bought it from installed it for free and rejetted it. I know I have a 42 pilot though. Sorry I didnt know the jetting.

Sorry I forgot to mention this...When you run with no disk, Do you put the end cap back on or just leave that whole spark aresstor plate out? I left mine out but worried what would have happen if mud or dirt got flung up in there. Cant you also get the snuffer not end cap from WB that does the same thing for straut thru airflow?

I TRIED MINE WITOUT DISC DIDNT FEEL ANY BETTER IVE JETTED ALL THE WAY UP TO A 190 . I DID PLUG READINGS NEVER GOT A TRUE READING. I LIKE THE SOUND OF MY PIPE BUT IS IT WORTH LOOSING TO MY FRIENDS BIKE WHEN WE WERE DEAD EVEN WHEN MINE WAS STOCK.

Nope. No way im gonna switch to the stock pipe. I like the E series. Even if I lose torque it definately is faster from mid to top. We got out a stock 400 and my bike. Its quicker once I hit 3rd. That was w/ 12 disc. I hope that 14 will add some torque.

DO YOU THINK I WAS LEAN WITH A 155 WHEN I RACED MY FRIENDS STOCK 400 WELL I HOPE I WAS AND THIS 165 IS THE CURE. WE BOTH HAD 14TH SPROCKETS. I THJINK IT BOTHERS ME BECAUSE HE KEEPS BRAGGING.

I run mine with 12 discs and the end cap, just No spark arrestor.

could you please explain how you got rid of the spark aresstor? Or post a pic pleeze and I could prolly figure it out. The 12 discs thing, is that more powerful than no disc or end cap? Once you take the spark aresstor out can you put it back in? thanks alot.

White Bros. recommends 18 discs, a 165 main and no airbox lid for peak performance. They ship the pipes with 12 discs so that people can run the pipe on the stock jetting. I have this current setup and it pulls a lot harder from bottom to top than it did with 12 discs and stock jetting. It crushes 2 of my friends stock EX's in drags. You'll have to move the needle up one notch as well or the midrange won't be there. I could even holeshot my Buddy's Banshee (through 4th. gear) until he put on FMF SST's.

Look at the end of the pipe, see how there is no solid disc there? The solid disc is the spark arrestor. See how my pipe has the chrome end cap and plates till on it but it is missing that solid silver disk at the end? That is the spark arrestor. I will get a better pic next time I'm at the garage.

According to White Bros. 18 discs is the most discs you can use on that silencer due to silencer outlet size. 18 discs flows the same as no end cap. But if you retain the end cap it gains more low-end torque and still is spark-arrested.

no it says that you can run up to 28 which is the max but i have seen people with 30 and they have no problem..
i am going to be running 18 disks soon and i'll see how it works..

If i run less than 12 will it get quietier because my neibours have sent the cops 3 times to my house because of the pipe.. wait till i get my buddies out here with fmf power core 4 and power 2 on a yz 125 they will need the swat team. lol :D
thanks

You actually missed the point. You can stack as many discs on it as you want, but any more than 18 and the silencers internal diameter becomes the restriction. Hence 18 is the maximum amount of discs.

Just remember when you start putting more than 12 discs on, you have to either take the discs off or take the pipe off when you put the quad on its grab bar or you will smash the pipe.
