Just wanted to give major props to LRD:eek2: I finished installing a LRD300 big bore kit ported for XC on my 89 250R yesterday. After a couple heat cycles and a couple rides though the field behind my house I opened her up:devil: OMG I thought she would jump out from under me!! This beast is wicked fast.

So I put her to the real test. I call a buddy and ask him to come over and lets compare my 99 (tired) ported XC Banshee to the 300R. I get on the SHee (215lbs) and my buddy (295lbs) get on the R. We drag several times and 9 out of 10 times the R pulls the Shee by at least 1&1/2 to 2 bikes:o

Damn I never new a 250R could be so fast:eek:

What really surprises me is that the LRD 300 pulls as smooth as a 4 stroke. No sudden hit! Just pulls hard from start to finish!

Sorry for the long post just wanted to share my happiness:blah:

WOW! thats awsome! My 350 wouldnt even out run a stock 400ex!   But now i have a bigger carb, and a BB pipe, so we'll see now.

Hey RUNMYTA, what kind of pipe and carb are you running with the kit? Sounds fast!

I am running a ESR Tr6 pipe/silencer and a 36mm Mikuni TMX carb with Rad valve and spacer.

Now I just hope that after I freshen the topend of the Banshee, the R at least will run side by side:ermm:

Jerry,
Are you the one that I bought the R from? When is the fair in Greenville?

Yes that was me, you can sign-up anytime now if your down this way. It will be the first week in august i'll find out the date if your interested. You sign-up at the yamaha-polaris dealer on the 11-E in greeneville. I have the 440 all apart re-doin it so it won't be there. I sold that 300ex about 2 hrs after you left with the R, some guy called looking for a 300, came right up rode it and paid me 1900 cash, that was luck. The drag race is 100 yards hard packed red-clay, 10$ each class, you can make a couple hundred depending on where you place. I talked too Ken at Jims about having drags at I-81, there going too at the atv jamboree, don't know if the pay is as good though. Post a pic of the R, we all would like too see it.
