I usually feel the same way.But in this case i just wanted to shine em up i guess.I still feel like he's getting a good deal even though they arent a mirror. They still shine like a mofo.Plus only a $15 polishing job.And only $155 for the hubs rotors and polished spindles. So hes not comming out too bad.:D
And thanks for all the comments everybody

You guys ever seen a 250r bumper this shiny ?! It outshines Lonestars chrome A-arms that are on it!:p

[BFJ]

Actually the swing arm wasn't too bad. I think it took about 3 hours. Yes it is cast aluminum, smoothing the casting was the hard part.

hey guys when you do polishing do you buy the kits from the hardware store that you put on your drill? do you get kits for smaller spots that you can attach to a dremel tool?

Jay

luvmyex
07-15-2003, 11:17 AM
you need a bench grinder with buffing wheels on it.And a dremel works good in tight spots.A drill just dont do it.

popo

They look good. Polishing is a big pain in the arse.

FYI, I would put a good coat of wax to help prevent from tarnishing in the pitted areas. Rubbing alcohol will also clean the best.

Ahh that's an even better idea. I just got a new bench grinder from this garage sale of some old guy that died. Brand new for $15 =)

3 drums. various tumbling media, etc...we polish all our brass to mirror with 3 or 4 stage process, why couldn't you do it that way Rick?
