cut fenders?

hey,
i got a 300 and i wanna cut the fenders, but i have NO idea how to do it. can anyone like guide me through it. my friend tells me i shouldnt do it cause it will kick dirt in my face.. what should i do? thanks

Take like an one of those wipe off markers and draw where you want to cut the fenders. Then make sure you like how it looks. Next, take a jig saw or something that will cut plastic. Take a fine sand paper and go over the edge. If there is extra marker on the plastic, just take some goo gone and wipe it off

by cutting the fenders will dirt and different things fly in my face?

I would cut the fenders then it would look sweet!:D

i used a sharpe marker and traced the pattern I wanted....then used a hacksaw blade(#34) and cut outside the mark, this will allow you to come back with sand paper or to cut more away if needed.... once you have the desired trim cut away then start sanding. I used a palm sander to even it out and make a smooth edge. have fun with it, you will really like it especially when riding trails or mx when racing. riding in really wet and muddy place will suck but you'll get used to it.

I just cut mine down the crease of the fenders, and this is how its looks.

yeah man it'll throw watter and mud up in your face but not dirt....
it won't throw chumky of dirt od dust for that matter...no rocks haha....it will throw water though...but it you ease through it and move your sheos out the way it won't hurt anything...no more than it would with fender's...as for mud...just tuck in your elbows lay down on the tank work the clutch from under the bars /and the gas. and open it up..all the mud will fly right by you....thats what i do after i come out of a mud thats flying everywhere....

The best way is to use black electrical tape, if you dont like the look pull it up and move it where you want it. Then take a saw and cut away, sand it up real nice. Take your time and make it look good. I hurried at it and scratch the plastic up when I was sanding. Deffently use the electri tape tho, is will be better.

I like cut fenders except when im on the river cause sand gets slung alll up in ur crotch. Not cool, haha.

The best thingh to do is to outline the fenders with a marker or electric tape. The electric tape works better so there are no black marks. Then use blade loike a hacksaw. Take your time or it will be crocked. Than sand it up real good. then you should have your shaved fenders.:D
