80cc dirt bike beat a 400?

Would a air cooled 80 cc 2 stroke bike beat a stock 400 ex in a 150yd drag?

Im just curious because my friend bought a kfx80 and he says it will easaly beat my 400 but he has never riding or even seen my 400.

my bike isnt stock either but i was wodneirng if a stokc bike could bet him evne if i cant drive i should be able to.

I dragged a 400 ex with pipe filter and jets and i was on a friends KX 85 and i pretty much smoked him. The bike had pipes and shaved head. I mean i beat him pretty bad.

My lil bros KX 65 is right with a stock 400ex till the 400ex hits high 5th gear and it pulls away.

my firends bike is a old 86 kfx80 if it matters he thinks he can smoke me but i dont think so.

I have raced a KTM 65sx and he sticks right with me thru 3rd gear, then I smoke him once 3rd revs all the way out and I hit 4th.
Those 65's are bad a..!!

if u know how to ride that 400 right, u should have no problem smokin him. my bro is a "b" rider and when we drag race i can sometimes just beat him, but most of the time he gets me. he has a yz250f. i dont care how much work an 85cc ring dingger has, it shouldnt win if u know how to ride ;)

Those little 65's are pretty AMAZING!:eek2: I think it would be close between a 86' 80 and a new 400ex. Ok My bike runs like crap right now, it's a 350r and Im at the same top speed as a stock 400, but i can out pull him if I get traction, but i also dragged a 86' 125 and beat him, not very badly but did, so is what im trying to say i think is that, that stock 400 is about the same as the 125, dunno if this matters or not!:ermm:

A few weeks ago at our local riding spot, there was this kid on a kx85. He said it was stock, but if it was stock, it was the fastest kx85 I have ever seen. There were two other guys there on 400ex's besides me, theirs were stock with pipes. I pulled up and they were drag racing with the kx85. And to my suprise, the kx85 was pulling them out of the hole by a bike length and slowly pulling out to about 4 bike lenghts at the other end of the strip.(which is about 500 to 600 feet) I lined up beside them the next time to see what I could do, and I came out of the hole right beside the kx and I slowly pulled out in front of him by about 1 bike lenght at the end of the strip. We raced about 5 more times with identical results.
To demonstrate how fast the kx was, I also raced 2 raptors. One was a stock 2004, which I beat by 2 to 3 bike lengths. And the other one had a Curtis Sparks X6 exhaust, I raced this one about 10 times and we were almost dead even each time.

i had a cr80 and all my friends had every 80... my 400ex smoked every 80 its gone up against and some of them were modded and my 400 was stock back then...


ur 400 will demolish that 80;)

i thought they were dingers until i broke my shoulder on a modded KTM 65 last year. i WAY underestimated them. they are quick! my friend has a KX80 and we raced against our stock 400 and it beat it. the powerband on them things is STRONG!

I would have to disagree with that. If the guy can ride the bike is going to win. The power to weight ratio is crazy on them things.

my best friend has a yz85 and i have a 03 kfx400.

we race all the time up my paved driveway thats about 500ft and i always beat him by like 1 bike length


one of my other fiends has a 03 400ex and everytime i have raced him i beat him by about 2 bike lengths

if ur 400ex is stock ur in trouble

trust me i know... i had a 1996 pro action built cr80...

ported polished, wiseco hi comp piston bored to 85 cc, cases matched, machined head, hurricane carb mod, pro circuit pipe, boysen reeds, twin air filter... i'm talkin full motor work u couldn't do anything else but bore it more and it was not as fast as a 400ex stk...

trust me i've raced many 400s bc my friends had them b4 me... i lost every race...

and i know ur gonna say that i didn't know how to ride it... but i'll find pictures of me pullin the holeshot against 2 factory rm 80s ridden by the 2 amateur national champions gene stull and broc hepler in 1999...

the 80s are fast but not that fast... they top out on speed very fast...

not tryin to sound like a dick or flame u its just i know it won't beat a 400ex...

well he hasent ridng crap and the thing is in poor condition i saw it today you ahve to rev it all out then let off the throtle and hit is at wot again to get to max rpm or it dies its wired.

i beat a 400ex with a white brothers slip on with my stock kx100. if that tells ya anything
