Depends on the year of LT250R. The 87 and newer ones were pretty quick. Easily quick enough to beat a stock 400EX.

they'll beat a 400ex and the lt and r are about the same speed, they are fast though but i don't know exact, i think stock around 70-75 mph

but a teckate is supposed to be even faster :eek:

85-86 Lt's were quicker AND just a bit faster (i'm hoping that everyone understands the difference) than the R. In 87+, the LT added a powervalve. As we all know, PV's kick MAJOR booty. The onlything faster than the LT out of the box was the Grass hopper:p (Kawa. Tecate3/4).

hey up there ^ maybe you are thinking of like an lt 125 4 stroke or something, these are 250 2 strokes

also, my uncle has an lt 250, i don't know what year but it looks like and is a piece of ****, but damn, it is still fast, it clanks and takes a while to start and looks pretty bad, but WHEN you get it running it is fast

the LT's were always faster than the R's. they just never had the handling unfortunatley. My LT ran like crap and it was an 85 and it would smoke EX's all day long. 87 was the fastest year ever for quadracers by the way.

yes, the 'Zilla was faster, but i think we are talking about the 250 class...not 500:cool:

the MAIN reason that Lt's never caught on IS because of their front geometry. Juggalo is right. Their handling has something to be desired. It is a TOTALLY different feel from the R or EX. But, if you can learn to tame the beast, you could do alot of damage on the track with one.

you never said 250, so therefore you mean all quads. we can't read you mind, if you only meant 250 class you should have said that, which makes my past comment correct that quadzilla's are faster than the lt250 also

Not many people here even know about the 'zilla and its rarely ever mentioned. But i guess i could have esplained it a little better. The thing about the 'zilla though. Even though its a 500, it wasn't all that much more than the 250. Yes it could scream, but it was mainly a torque monster!:macho

I've never personally ridden either a LT250 or a quadzilla, but I heard they don't handle very well, and jump even worse.

The quadzilla is second only to the banshee in the drag racing world...

nah dude, 'zilla's are faster, maybe the rider sucked on it, or the banshee had tons of mods or the quadzilla just couldn't get any traction;)

my uncles lt250 has some funky rebound on the rear shock, it friggin shoots you back up to the sky

must compete in one of those pocket tractor pulls, those are fun to watch, souped up lawn mowers and quads, i was at one a couple of weeks ago and a 230 quadsport pulled the sled a lot farther than the 4x4's, the quadsport had tires on it like that zilla and a sproket on it that was almost as big as the tires
