View Full Version : New change for 2004 400ex

After checking the Honda web site I have compared the 2003 400ex specs to the 2004 400ex specs, i have noticed they made one change. The stock carb for a new 2004 400ex is now a 38 mm carb, how much H.P. do you think this will gain. I am waiting to check the price for the new one, cause I get a great hookup on stock parts versus aftermarket. Any input would be great.

id say with your 440 kit an cam it would be a wise investment

I haven't heard of it being a misprint, could be though...

I was thinking maybe that is the same carb going in "new" quad. Instead of making more of the current size they whent with what is comming out later.... just a thought:)

they did the same thing with the 300's they switched to a bigger carb after 5 years. I doubt it's a misprint.

i got to go out and get me a 2004 man that carb tht is 3mm bigger must make it twice as fast.

Not really.... there will be a noticable difference but it wont be twice as fast.

yay, A bigger carb to suck down more gas and get 1, maybe even 2 horses more! wow....what an improvment....:ermm:

Yeah all the "new" 04's will most likely be the old unsold 03's that have a bigger carb on em :rolleyes:

And some plastic renew and some new corny graphics just to make them look good.
