yeah i used stock 400ex shocks but i had a shockmount made. i just used the deminsions off of the durablue lower kit but i made it out of steel and is much stronger!

right now i got burgard +2 a-arms they are like eqaul to the 400ex stock length. when i got them the guy from the shop told me i should get aftermarket shocks. right now im running the stock 300ex crappy shocks. i got my hands on 400ex works triple rate with res that why i need to know if this is going to work. your saying you used the stock 400 arms and my aftermarket ones are +2 for a 300 but are equal to a stock 400 so i think it should work out the same way.

the correct way to put 400ex shocks on a 300ex is to move the top shock mount up on the frame. your +2 300ex a-arms are about the same lenght as stock 400ex a-arms, however they are designed to still use 300ex shocks. you can put the 400ex shocks on but the frontend will set to high even with your +2 300ex a-arms. you can use 400ex a-arms, leave the shock mounts alone and i think warrior shocks will work good. or use your +2 300ex a-arms, move top shock mount up and your 400ex shocks will work. we have a 300ex with top mounts moved up, 400ex works piggyback pro-series shock, and burgurds 400ex +2+2 a-arms. we took the 300 and 400 to a machine shop and had the 300 mounts made from the 400 to make sure the angle of the shock was correct for best handling. one time i saw a 300 that they just slapped some 400ex shocks on and put small 19" front tires and like 23" rear tires so it would set level...not a real good idea.

the much easier way would be to buy aftermarket shock for your +2 a-arms. but if you used 400ex a-arms and 400ex stock shocks you would have to move the shockmount higher.

tried it with the 400ex shock on the +2 300ex arm it won't work
you need 400ex arms i think the shock mount on the arm is set close to the wheel letting you mount the shock but it won't work with 300ex arms
