Whenever I wheelie my 400 it always pulls to the left. I have checked my tire pressure, my tires are new and it even does this on flat pavement. I'm not that much of a mechanic but I can't figure out why. Its been doing this since I got it but it seems to be getting worst. Anyone know what could be causing this????

If the tires are the right pressure and your wheels aren't bent check all the bolts in the front end (tie rods in particular). Everything is tight? Something is bent - tie rod, steering stem, frame (yikes!)

the strange thing about this is that it goes in a straight line when all 4 wheels are on the ground.. but as soon as I wheely it, it throws itself to the left.. I've checked my axle/swingarm and everything looks fine.

These are stock tires??

My quad does that but it's because I've got defective ITP MX tires on it.

Just guessing here..... but wouldnt that be because of the chain torque to the left rear? I'm no physisys but if nothing is bent in the rear and tire pressure is even and there is no slippage in the left or right tires then what else could possibly create that much torque to pull it except for the chain drive?

Have you measured the circumference of your rear tires and make sure they match? Are you positive your axle is straight?

Yeah it could be a defective tire I guess... I am running maxxis razrs. I will try switching them, we'll see if it pulls to the right instead or what happens.

Thanks dude!

I JUST PUT RAZRS ON MY 400 AND IT PULLS TO THE LEFT ALSO!!! BEFORE WITH STOC TIRES I COULD WHEELIE FOREVER NOW ITS A BATTLE TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT ON 2 . I THOUGHT ABOUT LETTING A POUND OF AIR OUT OF THE RIGHT ONE. WHAT PRESSURE DO YOU RUN ? I ONLY RODE MINE ONCE WITH THESE TIRES BUT SEVERAL TIMES DOWN THE STREET. R-8psi F-9psi 6 ply.

Well it used to pull to the side with my stock tires but not nearly as bad as with the razrs. But then again those stock 2 ply tires were crap (sorry for those people who like radial) and had about 10 plugs in each. One had foam in it at the end...that could explain why hehe

My razrs are 4 ply (with no plugs..yet). I'm running them at 5 psi each.

Bly-

Let us know what happens when you swap the rear wheels.

Thanks

Sure,

I will try to dig it out of the shed this weekend, we have about 2 feet of snow right now.
