i was on another website and someone said that neww 400's come with the throttle adjusted so that you do not get full throttle . The person said to make sure you adjust it yourself. Is this true ?

This is not unheard of. Search the forums here to find the fix. I don;t know the exact fix but it is here somewhere...

ya ive herd of that. just adjust it where the throttle cable meets the throttle housing. just turn it to the left, so the throttle has more pull

thanks guys for helping me with the throttle because i adjusted and now the think takes off so much faster and is much more responsive. Anyone with a new 400 ex should now about this because it makes such a huge difference.

I did it to mine a long time ago and noticed a vast difference. I wonder what the deal is with that? Doesnt make sense.
