All right, just getting the ex it tip top shape for my trip to Rausch Creek.
changing the oil
cleaning the filter
Gonna grind the header welds
and then remove the choke
i think i will just take the butterfly out, but it HAS to have a 42 pilot?
it not gona be too big for even now, when it is 80-90 degrees????

also, i was taking the heat sheild off, and one bolt was in really tight, and i pushed harder, and the head just poped off, how do i get the threads out, drill and tap?
also when i removed my header, i removed those 4 nuts, but one was so rusted that the entire screw part came out, is that ok??
lastly is there a good thread that explains how to polish? not just sand and polish...thats no good:grr:

42 pilot should be fine but no guarantees:p If you have a 40 bring it with you.

Shield bolt...
An E-Z Out should get out without drilling and tapping. If not, just run without it if neccessary...

Header bolt....
You should be fine if the stud goes in and seats well.
If you have time I suggest getting new studs, nuts and gaskets...

What are you polishing? I belive there is a bit of sanding involved prior to actual polishig...

An e-z out is a tool that kinda looks like a fat wood screw with reverse threads. It has been along time scince i've actually used one though.;) Go to your local hardware store to find one.

Search aroound the "body" forum for info about polishing. I don't have the patience for that stuff:p

Is the 42 for the purpose of running without a choke?
:confused2
