i went to bleed my brakes and the fluid would seep out between the block off plate and the caliper, should there be a gasket or something between the two?

Souds like you've been blowing seals! j/k

I didn't get a gasket either...shouldn't need one....

It's probably time for a caliper rebuild......
Don't ask me how, I don't know:p

Should have an o-ring if its a cascade block off or you blew a seal or gasket in the calipar;)

I don't think there should be any brake fluid in the parking brake area....

Its the oring.......we put one on my neighbors 400 and it leaked because we forgot to put the oring in. We then put the oring in and it didnt leak.

put a little silicone between the blockoff and the caliper. that should solve ur problem.

That does not solve the problem, it treats the symptom. There should NOT be fluid behind the block off plate.

It sounds like it needs to be rebuilt. Check your local shops or try C&D racing for a kit.

your joking right:huh that is far from the problem

no fluid should even be anywhere in or around the parking brake mechinism matter of fact you don't even need to run the block off it has nothing to do with keeping the fluid the problem is a blown piston seal and all you need to do is buy a caliper rebuild kit
