don't want to burst your bubble, but you should take that money for the engine mods and sink it into suspension! You would be AMAZED at what that stock motor can do for you if you can contol it better.

If you insist on engine work first, i would not jump strait to a 426. The 426 is a .120 overbore. That means that if you have to rebuild your motor again, you are looking at a new jug. The 406 is a .040 overbore. The thing to pay most attention to is the compression ratio. The ratio of choice seems to be 10.8:1 or 11:1. Anything higher and you will HAVE to run race gas. Its also suggested that you bring up the compression before you drop in a cam.

but like i said, ALOT here would agree on suspension first!

Another vote for suspension. Suspension is a must if you are going to do any type of racing at all.

You will definately see an improvement with works. I would suggest though to save up for Elka, Pep,Axis, etc. You will see a lot more from them. But I understand it is what your budget allows. Go with what you can afford, anything is an improvement over stock.

cheetah is right. You get what you pay for. But, Works will still be a great improvement over stock pogo's.
