Tape off a bunch of looks till you get what you want. Then cut along the tape with a hack saw. When u get the basic look, take a wood planner or sand paper and make the edges smooth.

Well..anyway..i use a dremel drill...

But first i use a washable marker to get the lines right....then after your done sandpaper it off....;)

i also used a dremel to do this..

1st - i took a look at my fenders and how much i hated them being there:o
2nd - i looked at other quads like mine and found out a good line to cut, or just figured where i wanted them done
3rd - mark a line with a dry erase marker then take masking tape to cover that line, and i made another definate line on top of the masking tape, just to make sure im right ON.
4th - bust out the dremel and start cutting, we took off a liil fender at a time until we got used to using the dremel and all (* it was our first time using one)
5th - do your first choice cut, or whichever, and get close to it, give it a good look and make sure your like it like this, or if you dont go a different route with it, but theres no turning back now! ( aka , you can leave the nips or cut em off!)

here's some pictures i took during it..

and the first side done!..sanding after doing this will make it look smoother, as you can see im a lil swirly with it, but i dont really care its a quad as long as it serves its purpose im ok with it!..:blah:

now just follow the same procedure on the other side, also i have heared to bring a lighter near it to bring the color back, but once again i think mine turned alright!

No matter what method of cutting you do you'll get a wavy edge. Take a long flat Mill smooth file (12" works well) and file off the high spots. Then sand then edges round and finish with a wet sandpaper about 400 grit.
