alright,
i just toook the choke cable out. is there anything else i need to do to remove the choke. is it worth it. or just leave. i never use mine so i was going to remove it. any suggestions.

i have mine out. many people claim it helps a little bit but i don't think it does. you may want to go up one or two sizes on the pilot jet when taking out the choke for easier starts in cold weather. also, on the 400ex's there is a little hole in the side of the carb when you remove the choke lever. i would assume your choke is mounted on your handlebars though. just make sure there is no hole where the cable or lever goes into the carb. if there is, plug it with a vacuum cap or some silicone or anything you prefer. we just don't want dirt to enter.
