I have one coming in next week ( the parts for it anyway, it shod run in about two week. ) I was just wandering if anybody that has a 500 ex can tell me if there is anything I have to watch out for. Dont worry its going to be well broken in. I have a cam, spring, pipe, filter, jet kit secondary oil cooler, port polish etc...
And maby oversize valves this winter but not now ( no money left)

Can anybody beat you ( super raptor, banshee ... )

I want to run a 34t rear and a 16t front to try to keep the front on the ground. It mosly for very very fart trail runs

I dont want anybody to tell me I cant get 34t rear for a 400ex.
I have one at home ( off a ATC 250R it the same patern you just have to make the holes a little bigger. )

dont worry about heat, go to yahoo and type in tudors cool kit, it should be on exriders.com, cools the ex 40 degrees and keeps the 500ex cool

i think your talking about another chad, right?

the 502 is a 99' model and still runs real strong- never blew up.

yes, compression is the issue with these strokers.
