How much low and mid end will the 424 bore kit give me thank for you info

Never heard of 424 b4--a 426 is an 88m piston (.120 overbore) and is VERY thin on the stock sleeve although you can run it. If you ONLY do the bore; you wont gain but a few hp; you need a more aggresive cam to make it come alive! Look into the Hotcam Stage 1 that requires no hardfaced rockers or HD springs.

the cam will make a difference, but good porting, a fcr39 carb and a good full pipe will REALLY wake it up.

Yea, it depends on his budget--he may not have an extra 1K to spend...

that's true, but the motor will be severely choked without that stuff, i was just tossing that out.

I have a 416 and I kinda wish now I would have just gone with a stock bore piston at like 11:1 compression. But I have a 416 and I am happy with it. I just sayI wish I just went stock bore because I don't see a carb or head work to soon in the future.
