Putting new pads on my rear brakes of the 300ex and the piston will not go in? took parking brake off and the piston tube looks pretty rusty hasnt been used in like a year the whole quad so could the piston be stuck. The old pads were pretty low could i have maxed out the piston and now it wont go back help me out need to get ridin while im off of work this week.

yeah try a c-clamp to try and push the piston in. then you can put the new pads on easier.

or use a channel lock plyers, and just clamp it down, it will make it easier to let out all the fluid and bleed the brakes, its not gonna hurt, and its not hard. good luck

I had to shave some material off of the shaft that goes to parking brake after I installed new pads.
