ok i have a 300ex with fmf exhaust, K&N, 11:1 piston, and all around cam. I put my jetting at 135 main, 40 pilot, and needle move up 1. i pulled my plug and its very rich. what should i do now?

whats the stock main and pilot on a 300ex? if your too rich, that means your too big on either pilot, needle, or main. i would first do a plug chop. or in other words warm your bike up and go to an open place where you can floor it for a while. then put a new spark plug in and floor the heck out of it and stay at top speed for a little bit. then pull in the clutch and shut it off at the same time. is time to check the plug. see what color it is and go from there. this will tell you if you are rich/lean on the main jet. you can do the same thing for the needle and pilot. the needle is for about 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. the pilot is for idle to 1/4 or so and the main jet is for 3/4 to full throttle.
