Worth buying a 44mm Lectron carb for a 400ex?

is this carb worth buying for 175?

has clear flot bowl, adjustable power jet, and is currently set up for alky.

where can i also get a needle to run regular gas/vp race.

Raw, FastByGast.com sell metering rods for this carb. As far as if its worth buying for your 400, you would need serious port/flow work for a 44mm carb to work on your 400. I have a 40mm Lectron PowerJet carb and its perfect for my 502. I could probally get away with 41 or 42mm max, but my 40mm carb has more cfms. By the way, even if you can get the carb to fit your intake, the cfm throughput would probally go down not up. Think of it as blowing thru a straw instead of a hose. You'll get more air velocity thru the smaller diameter straw, than the larger diameter hose.. Velocity is better than mass in this case. Hope this helps, good luck!! :)

well i have talked to that guy on the phone who has it for sale. is was on his alky burning 465 that took second at fourstroke wars last year. second to the sparks 465. he said it worked so imagine on a highly tuned big boire it would, but probably not on a 440 or anything smaller than the 465. just my 2 cents worth. i am buying his nitrous setup that he ran at fsw to get second. so i cant wait to go faster. 500ex squezzzing the Juice!
