I just got done putting a new top end in my 250r and the head gasket that i got (came in a pack with all the gaskets for the motor) has less holes than the previous one. The old one was one put in by the last owner, so i dont know what kind it was, but my new one has a few less holes.

The old one may be from a cr250. A lot of guys do this to bump up compression. Is the new gasket thicker than the old one a cr gasket is about half as thick as a stock r gasket also if the old one is out of a cr250 it will only have a thin layer of rubber on each side of one layer of steel. hope this helps:)

yes, the new one isMUCH thicker, the guy said it was thin because of the compression, but i wanted something thicker so i didnt go broke buying race gas (being 15 and already in debt $700 is a big reason why). Thanks, everything is cool now.
