its late and im bored, lol
anyone know any places to get better shocks? should i save up for the tcs for 712 from c and d? possibly some pepe standards for 600 what you thinka bout those? does pepe have rear rebuilds?
if you dont race then the works or elkas will be fine...if you do race then get the elkas with rezzies & you should be okay.

MY GOD FINALLY SOME GOOD ADVICE!!! well he's right. Im just like you. I want some good shocks but don't wanna spend that much on em. If I was u i would get the works with rezzies. Or buy a used set of peps off of ebay. Get REZZIES if u race if u just trail ride get regualr shocks. Also on ebay you could get some elka's, TCS, Works, Pep,etc... most all brands of shocks. don't get ssd cuz then u gotta rebuild the back to mathc it and it is just a pain thats my .02
what do you mean finally some good advice??? :)

I've got works steelers with rezzies right now, race them, and don't have any troubles. Moving up to a new set of fronts soon for amateur, but works are fine for most people.

im thinking aobut getting some elka ssd shocks with no rezzys when i get 525 bucks, then this winter when i do a winter rebuiold get a rear ssd rebuild and some comp rezzys on the fronts, will the quad sit weird for the rest of the summer with the ssds on the front? can i turn the compresion out all the ay so the rear sags more?

i would save for the tcs shocks. a buddy of mine has a pair and he really like them. i am planning on getting a set for myself. there is a dealer at z400central whop can get tcs shocks for 680 i believe. the link attached as more info about the tcs shocks he sells.

no i not related to monkey boy but eric from elka called and we talked a while about there problems, i think i will pe geeting ssd triple rates with no rezzys then winter rebuild time i will get some
rezzies nd a rear rebuild.
My question is can i just let the compresion otu on the rear shock to let more sage so the bike rides level?

ride height is adjusted with the spring, take out preload, but it messes with other stuff too.

I am thinking about elkas and getting rezzys and a ssd rear rebuild this winter when its time to overhaul the bike when riding season it over. Or should i just get works?
i know ride hiehg is about preload but if i turn out the compresion it sags a bit more so wouldnt tht just work?
