I think FST does big bores for the 300ex.

if you have a lot of money, you can send your whole engine to TC racing and have them bore it to a 3** like mine is but that costs a TON of money. i think powroll(sp?) makes a kit for it. a couple people make a 330 kit.

you have 3 options from them. this is pretty pricy. 313 kit gives you over 35% power increase. 352 kit gives you over 50% power increase. the 329 kit is $923. 313 kit costs $711. 352 costs $1,300. the 329 kit is actually a bunch of parts you have to order yourself and it really isn't a kit but it's designed to be one. the 329 kit includes 80mm forged piston, 10.5:1 compression that requires re-sleeving, counter bore, and case machining, piston, pin, rings, circlips, head gasket and sleeve, camshaft, stroker crank, and high performance valve springs. remember, you're still going to have to pay labor to someone to tear your engine apart and put the kit in. that might be like $300 or more. i reccomend either the 313 kit or the 329 kit. i personally think the 329 kit is better. you'll get a good power gain probably over 40%. the 352 might over heat and you'd spend more in labor and there's more parts and that could be a hassel although the previous owner decided to do something similar. we'll just say my engine is just as fast or faster than the 352 ;)

I just got my 416 back from ProFab, and they did some top-notch work. Scott and Jeff are great to deal with.

Tom Carlson can set you up with a piston kit, cam, and pipe. You will have to bore your cylinder and put it together. It's smaller then the 330 but TC says it will run as well as the 330.

After making the mods to the top end you will want to get your CDI modified to eliminate the rev limiter or you will just be wasting your money on the cam. You will also need to put in a heavy duty clutch to handle the new power.

To get a little more out of it you can go to the 330 but you must take out your stock sleeve and have your jug machined to fit the big bore sleeve. Then you have to machine the new sleeve for the big bore piston.

If you are running the TC cam you will want to get a valve job and new springs. The springs are a must because of the extreme lift of the cam.

This will cost you at least $1000 if not a little more.
