when checking the oil on the 300ex i know you are supposed to set it on the threads and all that but just curious as to who all warms it up before checking. I used to but i sometimes don't anymore, because if you run it, it depends how long you run it and how hard (if you rev it up on idle) and how long you let it set. I just relized it is more accurate without doing this. You just have to relize that it will read higher than normal because it is all down in the case

it says in the manuall to warm it up for a time then check it right after that, on a 400 and rancher anyway, i dunno about a 300

yeah, it says that on the 300 too but it doesn't say for how long to run it and for how long to let it sit, if that was in there i would do it so i knew i was getting an accurate "honda" reading
