fourtrax vs sportrax

What is the difference between a 1999-2000 400ex fourtrax and a 2001-2003 400ex sportrax??? The sportrax feels like it has taller gears. Is there any difference?

When the 400ex 1st came out it was called a fourtrax then they changed to sportrax I guess so people would rcognize it more for a "sport" quad.
