lots of carbon on my pipe???

I put an FMF MegaMax II slip-on pipe on my 400 2 wks. ago, now the end of my new pipe is black as night. What the heck is causing it and how can I fix it???

its just carbon your probably a little rich

it happened to mine too. you might want to rejet. it's probably just normal. if you put your finger in any end of a pipe there's a lot of carbon. you can wipe it off with a brillo pad and it comes off pretty easy. it comes back in seconds so don't worry about it.

your stock silencer holds it in. To show this take it out undo the 3 bolts and look at it thats where all that carbon was before pal............:o but seriously u need to rejet:eek2: :confused2
